The note from my knapsack:

I am marching in these odd clothes to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the California Column’s march from Yuma to El Paso in the summer of 1862. These U. S. soldiers faced incredible challenges but overcame them and served the newborn territory of Arizona throughout the Civil War with patriotism and honor. I take on this challenge today as a way of telling their story.

I am a historical interpreter at the Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott and regularly volunteer at many other museums, parks, and historic sites throughout Arizona and the Southwest. To learn more visit my website at www.manifest-history.org.

Stay Strong and keep going!
